"For the first time in years, I had a great night's sleep. I feel safe. In an apartment, on a bed and swathed in linens through you & Daya. I can't tell you how appreciative I am. I feel like things are actually changing in my life."
- Daya Client HW

Did you know that one of Daya’s core services is providing housing assistance to families fleeing family and domestic violence?

Domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness among women and children.

For survivors, securing a safe and stable home environment is a critical step towards achieving a life free from abuse. Due to economic barriers that make it difficult to access affordable housing, many individuals in these circumstances are unable to seek that security for themselves and their children to break the cycle of violence.

At Daya, we believe every survivor deserves more than just a roof over their head—they deserve a place to heal, rebuild, and thrive. Our Supportive Housing Program provides financial assistance towards essential costs such as rent, set up and moving costs, grocery assistance, and furnishings - so that survivors and their families can secure a safe place to call home.

For 28 years Daya has paved the path to safer futures for South Asian families. This holiday season, we invite you to make a lasting impact through Daya’s Supportive Housing Program.

From November 12th through December 10th help us raise $56,000 towards our 28 Days of Giving Campaign.

Funds raised via this campaign will go towards essential housing needs for Daya's most vulnerable clients and families.

Each small comfort—a bed to rest on, supplies to prepare a hot meal, fresh towels, and cozy sheets—all have the power to transform an empty space into a home.

Together we can unlock the door to safety and provide survivors the foundation they need to rebuild their lives.
